Dirk Sampselle is Founder of B Revolution, Inc., and Chairman of the Board of Directors at B Revolution Capital. He is an expert in the benefit corporation legal entity, and business strategy for B Corporations. He is a drafting author of B Lab’s Benefit Corporation White Paper, a legislative memorandum that is used to educate legislators on the benefit corporation legal form and facilitate adoption by the States. His forthcoming article, “The Benefit Corporation: An Economic Analysis with Recommendations to Courts, Boards, and Legislatures,” will appear in 62 Emory Law Journal (forthcoming 2013). He is presently authoring another article on legal strategy for social enterprises.

Dirk speaks regularly to the entrepreneurship community on legal issues for startups. In March 2012, he led a panel of expert attorneys in discussion of social enterprise legal strategy at Brown University’s SEEED Summit, which is co-sponsored by Social Venture Partners of Rhode Island. Since forming B Revolution, Mr. Sampselle has advised dozens of clients on matters of business and legal strategy to help build scalable models for impact and financial success.
Dirk is a Dean’s Scholar Juris Doctorate and MBA Candidate at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, where he will also receive a Certificate in Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible Business. Prior to attending graduate school, Dirk founded Citizens for Social Justice, a 501(c)3 which provides transitional housing and educational rehabilitation services to the homeless population of Gainesville, FL.
